Wow. A forbidden subject finally given a lighthearted and touching viewpoint. It's about time! This is for all of us millennials who gave "Go The ____ to Sleep" as baby shower gifts only to find out we'll never have a baby shower of our own. Infertility is a difficult journey and this book is a great way for anyone going through it, or anyone who knows someone who is, to understand through adults-only humor how peace can be found in the process.
The playful format and fun illustrations in this book are wonderful and cleverly done; they help make what could be an uncomfortable subject more approachable. I would recommend this book to anyone struggling with fertility issues as a catharsis for the situation you are in. It is also a fun read for anyone wishing to broaden their understanding of infertility in order to be mindfully compassionate towards a friend or loved one.Highly recommended!
being through 2 miscarriages and now struggling through most days, this story was exactly what I needed to read today. I recommend it to anyone who has been frustrated with "trying" our knows anyone who has. Good for men or women. Excellent in my eyes!
After reading the first page with illustrations, I was hooked! Written in verse, the story chronicles Rick and Riley’s struggle to reproduce. A lighthearted and humorous attempt to broaching a very sensitive subject. The illustrations are fantastic and truly compliment the storyline. The reader will “Whoa!â€, “Boooâ€, “Awwâ€, and “sniff-sniff†as the authors take you on their emotionally raw journey to conceive. To those struggling with infertility, know someone impacted by it, or anyone wishing to understand more about infertility, I highly recommend this book.
This book is so well put together! You laugh, you cry, you laugh, you cry. It's a whirlwind that most of us can't understand.
